FAQ’s


1. Am i required to have a AMA or ATVA card?
- Yes all 2008 IXCR races are AMA / ATVA sanctioned. This requires all participants to have a competition card from either the AMA or ATVA. These can either be purchased online or at the event prior to the race. AMA / ATVA cards are good for one year.

2. Am I required to have a district-15 card?
-A district 15 card will be required for all participants if the event has District-15 points on it. District 15 cards may be ordered online or at the event prior to the race. District-15 cards are good for one year

3. What are the costs associated with the series?
- Entry fees are $25 for youth classes, $30 for adult classes & $40 for the Pro Class.
- Gate fees may vary for location to location, but usually around $10 per person for racers and spectators, 6 and under free. Check the website or individual race flyers for specifics on each site.

4. Will there be any throw-aways?
- Yes, 2 if you race all the races. The Minimum attended races for the adult classes is 7 of 9 & 3 of 5 for the youth classes, if you would like to run for year end points.

5. What are the sign-up times?
- Registration begins the day of the race at 7:00 am and ends at 12:30 pm ( or 30 minutes prior the the start of the last race )

6. Is there Pre-Registration?
- Yes, click on the pre registration link on the IXCR.com home page. Coming in Mid-January of 2008

7. What safety gear is required?
- All riders must have a helmet, goggles, gloves, pants, long-sleeve shirt and boots that go over the ankles. Kill switches are recommended but not required.

8. How long is each IXCR race?
- This depends on the class you enter. All races are run as close to the following total times as possible:
- Adult ATV’s: 90 Minutes plus 1 lap
- ATV & Bike Youth: 25 Min. plus 1 lap for the 4 to 8 year olds & 40 Min. plus 1 lap for the 7 to 13 year olds
- Adult Bikes: 90 Minutes plus 1 lap

9. How long is each course?
- Course’s vary. Normally, ATV’s & Bike’s run an 6-12 mile course & Youth classes run a 1-4 mile course.

10. What is the starting procedure?
- We’ll explain the start procedure at the Riders Meeting, but we’ll also do it here. Riders shall line up on their assigned starting row on a first come basis. All starts are dead engine (engine off) with the exception of Youth ATVs and Bikes which are live engine. The starter will hold out his left arm, signifying 10 Seconds to the start. In addition, the announcer will yell "10 Seconds." At the '10 Seconds' signal, all crew members must step away. Between 8 and 12 seconds after the '10 seconds' call, the starter will wave the green flag, and the race is on! Any rider taking off with the wrong row will be penalized, and any rider that misses the start of their class must enter the racecourse at the starting line and complete the start chute.

11. Do you accept checks or credit cards?
- Credit Cards at pre registration only, and cash only the day of the race.

12. What type of scoring system do your series use?
- Electronic scoring with bar code on the side of the riders helmets.

13. How do I check points and results?
- On our website www.IXCR.com/results for race results and www.IXCR.com/standings for standings of the series season points.

15. What classes are available?
- for 2008 we have expanded our classes. You can find the classes here along with a desricption of them
