Round 6 - The Badlands Bike results are up. Atv results will be up as soon as we can go through the entire backup system. We are pulling reports from all checkpoints and comparing them. This is the result of the scoring system being taken out during the first lap. Because of this there will be no laptimes available for this race. We are already working on a new backup system that will retain the laptimes in case of this happening again.

July 23rd, Badlands Race in the books: First off let me say a big thanks to the most professional, organized and nicest staff I've ever dealt with. Troy and the Badlands crew was a pleasure to deal with. Troy runs a top notch operation and we will be proud to have more IXCR races there in the future. Another big shout out to everyone that helped us pull off this event in 10 days! The thanks go out to Ric Phillips on a great job helping with the track setup, wonderful job announcing, and removing those truckloads of caution tape. Ric's wife Brenda did a wonderful job being kicked around to different jobs. Jim "Corn Cobb", we can't say thanks enough to this guy. If you got bumped during the race by a IXCR staff member on a grizzly that was cobb on is way to fix some more track or help somone else. This guy gave up a day of racing when he is leading his class, they don't make many people like this. Garon (pronounced GAY-RON) Davis wonderful job you and Sandy Ruth did on being tossed around in into just about every job needing done.  Zach and Joe you guys did a great job in the scoring tents, I know it got crazy way to stay tough. Thanks to the whole Bradshaw clan, which is a lot of names.  Grin You guys were wonderful on being where you were needed.

Now to the race. With 10 days to pull this together I don't think we could ask for anything better. It was a bit dusty but we all expected that being sand. Overall the race went very well. I personally had a lot of racers tell me they had a wonderful time. We had some hiccups of course but got through them ok. The wind took out the scoring tent, completely blowing it and the scoring computer over. Then we had a racer take out the scoring table forcing us to go to backup, which concretes the reason to have backup plans. Just a few other hiccups that were dealt with also. The attendence was a little low for the bikes but the ones that showed up showed up to race. Atvs were the highest ever with 136 entries! I'm not going to talk about the actual race much, I'll leave that to Garon Davis' Race report.

The major sponsors were all very happy and have already started talks about the future with the series.

We will get results up soon as possible, we are going back and double checking all checkpoints with the results to make sure we have it right. I'll keep you posted

All in all we were happy with everything and know that racers can plan on the IXCR just to keep growing and growing.
